Himachal Hill Porter Company is inviting applications for the recruitment of 600 Porters on a contractual basis for a temporary duration of 179 days. The work profile involves providing labor support to the 136 Infantry Brigade Group Porter Company over the contract period, and perform any other duties as may be assigned. Must be born between 11-04-1986 and 10-04-2008. No category-wise age relaxation applicable.

 No minimum educational qualification is required. However, the following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled:
  • Only male candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants should be medically and physically fit and free from any contagious disease.
  • Must possess valid documents such as Voter ID Card, Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, or a certificate from the village panchayat.
  • Should not have undergone imprisonment (a certificate from the local police station is required at the time of recruitment).
  • Preference will be given to skilled individuals such as Masons, Artisans (Construction), Operators, Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, Fitters, and those having knowledge of construction work.
 ₹34,020 per month (Basic ₹18,000 + ₹13,320 DA + ₹2,700 Field Allowance)
Other Eligibility Conditions
  • The recruitment is on a contractual (temporary) basis for a duration of 179 days.
  • Candidates from all states may apply. However, domicile certificate will be required during document verification.
  • Candidates must have an active Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) policy at the time of recruitment. Proof of installment deduction must be carried during the test.
    • PMJJBY is a government-backed, one-year renewable term insurance scheme offering ₹2 lakh life cover for death due to any cause. It costs ₹436 annually for individuals aged 18–50 years.

Additional Benefits :

  • Ration: Individual will be provided with free rations at the scale of combatant soldiers when serving in operational/field/modified field areas.
  • Medical Facilities: Individual will be provided with free medical treatment to the extent feasible for self only in Military and Civil Hospitals, for injuries, ailments, or diseases sustained while at work.

    Mode of Recruitment :

    The selection process will be conducted through a Recruitment Rally scheduled from 10 April 2026 to 16 April 2026, between 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM at Averipatti, Rampur Bushar, Kullu District (HP). The exact test date will be mentioned in the Admit Card, which will be available for download from 06-04-2026 onwards.

    During the rally, candidates will undergo multiple stages. The detailed test specifications and criteria will be provided in the Admit Card. The selection process may include Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Medical Examination. A Written Test may also be conducted in case of a large number of applicants.

    • Aadhaar Card & Admit Card (original along with 3 attested photocopies)
    • Bank Passbook (SBI/PNB only) (original along with 2 photocopies). Note: Jan Dhan Bank Account is not acceptable
    • Domicile Certificate & Revenue Stamp of ₹10
    • Mobile Numbers (self and next of kin)
    • 6 Passport Size Photographs (colour)
    • 4 Joint Photographs with next of kin (colour)
    • Character Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer (issued on or after 01 Jan 2026)
    • Birth Certificate & Educational Certificates (original along with 3 photocopies each)
    • Police Verification Certificate from the nearest police station (issued on or after 01 Feb 2026)
    • PMJJBY Insurance Proof (instalment deduction summary)
